Got Questions? We Got Answers.

How long will my roof replacement actually take?

Most residential shingle roofs are completed in 1 to 2 days. Metal roofs and more complex projects (steep slopes, multiple transitions, standing seam systems) typically take 3 to 5 days depending on the size and scope. Your assigned superintendent will give you a specific timeline before work begins and send you daily photo updates through our customer portal so you always know exactly where things stand.

What happens if my roof gets damaged by a hurricane after you install it?

Call us. We respond 24/7 for emergencies and will get a crew out to tarp and secure your roof as quickly as possible to prevent further water damage. If a full repair or re-roof is needed, your superintendent will walk you through the scope, insurance documentation, and timeline. Our GAF Golden Pledge Warranty also covers workmanship, so if anything we installed fails, we stand behind it.

How do I know if I need a full roof replacement or just a repair?

Not every issue requires a full replacement. Missing shingles, minor leaks, or isolated storm damage can often be repaired. However, if your roof is 15 to 20+ years old, has widespread granule loss, multiple active leaks, or significant structural damage (rotting decking, sagging), a replacement is usually the smarter long-term investment. Our estimating specialist will walk your roof, take drone photos, and show you exactly what they're seeing so you can make an informed decision with zero pressure.

What's the difference between asphalt shingles and metal roofing, and which should I choose?

Asphalt shingles (like GAF Timberline HDZ) are the most popular option. They're affordable, look great, and come with strong warranty options. They typically last 25 to 30 years in Florida. Metal roofing (standing seam or screw-down panels) costs more upfront but can last 50+ years, handles high winds better, and reflects heat to lower cooling costs. The right choice depends on your budget, how long you plan to stay in the home, and the look you want. Our team can show you both options side by side and even use visualization tools to preview how each will look on your specific home.

Do you offer financing for roof replacements?

Yes. We offer several financing options to fit different budgets, including plans with low monthly payments. Your estimating specialist can walk you through what's available during your consultation so you can find a plan that works for your situation before committing to anything.

What is a GAF Golden Pledge Warranty, and why does it matter?

The Golden Pledge is the strongest warranty GAF offers, and only GAF Master Elite contractors (the top 3% of roofers in the country) can provide it. It covers both materials and workmanship for up to 50 years, including protection against manufacturing defects and installation errors. It's also transferable if you sell your home, which can increase resale value. True Force is one of the few contractors in North Central Florida certified to offer this warranty.

Do I need to be home during the roof installation?

No. Many of our customers are at work or even out of state during the project. Your superintendent sends real-time photo updates, progress reports, and any change order approvals through our customer portal and via text. You'll know exactly what's happening without needing to be on-site. We'll schedule a final walkthrough with you once the project is complete.

Will a new roof lower my homeowners insurance in Florida?

In most cases, yes, and significantly. A new roof that meets current Florida Building Code wind mitigation standards can qualify you for major insurance premium reductions. After every installation, True Force provides a wind mitigation report that you can submit directly to your insurance company. Many of our customers see savings that offset a meaningful portion of their monthly roof payment.

What should I expect on the day the crew shows up?

The crew typically arrives between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. They'll set up safety equipment, lay tarps and protective barriers around your home, landscaping, and AC unit, then begin tear-off. Your superintendent will introduce themselves and walk you through the day's plan. Throughout the day you'll receive photo updates. At the end of each work day, the crew cleans the site, including a magnetic sweep of your yard and driveway for nails. When the project wraps, your superintendent does a final walkthrough with you to make sure everything meets your expectations.
